Mount Anville 14-8 -- 4-4 Our Lady's School, Terenure
U/16 GAA North Leinster Gameday 2

On a brisk and blustery day in Terenure, Mount Anville blew their opponents away with ferocious attacking zeal in the second match of the Leinster Championships. Playing with the strong wind and a slight hill advantage in the first half, Mount Anville unleashed their dynamic attacking line to full effect. Julie Holmes was sensational in attack as she showed a striker's instinct in keeping the opposition's goalkeeper busy. Ali Griffin and Flora McDonnell, returning to the Mount Anville midfield for the first time this season, ensured the forwards were well fed with clever passes and quick ball, while Laura McHugh, making her debut for the Mounties ensured that defence remained resolute and solid.

The second half saw a mature performance, with the Mount Anville side adjusting to many substitions with minimal disruption. Maura Montgomery was omnipresent on the pitch however, ensuring that the fluency and high standards expected of an immensely talented team were maintained. OLS were extremely strong competitors, and the score line was in no way indicative of the difference between the two teams. Yet the Mounties can be confident heading into their final game with 2 wins from 2, 18goals scored, and a determination and unity which will be tough to overcome.
