Robert Dobbyn's Retirement

Robert Dobbyn's Retirement

Today we bid farewell to Robert who has had an amazing and successful twenty years in Mount Anville .

When Robert joined Mount Anville he was the only male on site other than the Caretaker Joseph Collier and has been surrounded by women in the Bursar’s Office ever since !!

He blended into Mount Anville life very easily and was very well liked by staff, students and parents. He always listened to everybody’s requests and opinions and treated everybody with care and respect.

He is the type of person who does not like to say ‘NO’ and always likes to meet people ‘half way’ rather than decline their request or idea. He has always been interested in what is best for the students and the school. Robert has a great sense of humour and in fact he thought it was a prerequisite of the job considering the varied requests he got on a daily basis.

He involved himself in all building works that took place each Summer. He has a keen eye for interior design, which has led to many good choices on campus. He was also very keen to provide a safe environment for people to work in and students to excel in.

He will be missed……
