Feast of St. Rose Philippine Duchesne

Today, November 18th as a Sacred Heart school community we celebrate the Feast of St. Rose Philippine Duchesne.
Feast of St. Rose Philippine Duchesne
Mount Anville Religious Education Department has been involved in a collaborative prayer exchange project with European Sacred Heart schools. Schools were invited to unite in prayer for the future of our Common Home to mark the Feast of St Rose Philippine Duchesne. World leaders attending The 2021 United Nations Climate Change Conference will have left Glasgow by the time of the feast, however the real work continues after: a new frontier for our world.
Today over the intercom at 12 noon, students will lead our school community in prayer and reflection to mark The Feast of St. Rose Philippine Duchesne - affectionately known as "the woman who always prays".

A Prayer of Dedication to St. Rose Philippine Duchesne

When we are asked to be bold and courageous,

You are our inspiration

When our imaginations dream and see beyond the limits of our sight,

You are our hope

When we fail to meet a challenge and need to accept our limitations,

You are our model

When we pray with the desire for deep union with God,

You are our Saint

And with your blessing, to the greater glory of God, we seek to be loving people who live and serve others with your same purpose, vision, and quiet humility.

With every blessing,
The Religious Education Department
