6th Year Geography Field Trip 2018-2019

On Tuesday the 18th of September, both of the 6th year Geography classes went to Glendalough to conduct our river study for our Leaving Cert Geography project. The predicted thunderstorm didn’t bode well, so we prepared ourselves for the worst with umbrellas and back up socks in tow. However, we were lucky as the weather turned out to be beautiful. Led by Ms. O’Brien and Ms. O’Reilly, we split up into two groups and carried out our tests on the river, which required all of us to brace ourselves and wade right in to the water. We emerged without any accidents or full body submersions- however narrowly avoided by some of us- and recorded all of the data necessary to complete our project back in the classroom. We all really enjoyed the day out and both classes would like to thank Ms. O’Brien and Ms. O’Reilly for their guidance and patience!
